Contact Us

We are not your room parent. You will be assigned one of those. We are something a little different: the people you can ask anything, without worrying that the question is too small or too obvious.

Email us here

4thgrade@baliles.com

That address reaches just four couples: the three families new to 4th grade this year, plus us. Nobody else. No teachers, no administration, no wider parent list.

Why it goes to the whole group

Because the question you are slightly embarrassed to ask is the exact question the other two families are also sitting on. When you email the group, everyone sees the answer, and the next person does not have to ask it again.

It also means you are not only hearing from us. Somebody else on that list may have already figured out the thing you are stuck on, and they can just say so.

There is genuinely no dumb question

Which door. What the acronym means. Whether the shoes count as dress code. What happens if you forget the placard. Whether you are supposed to bring something to the thing on Thursday.

We did not know any of it either. Somebody told us, and now we are telling you. That is the entire arrangement.

Same address for both of us, so you never have to work out which one to write to.

Who to ask at school

For the things that are actually official, these are the roles you want. Their contact details are in your welcome materials and the school directory.

Ask early, ask often

New families get buried in information, processes, and acronyms in the first few months. If something does not make sense, it is almost certainly not you. It is that nobody wrote it down. That is why this site exists, and why that inbox exists.
